Performance improvement 5-star resort – Fiji

Project Overview: Independent review of a Fiji resort hotel’s operational and financial performance.

Scope of Work: Five-star resort located on Denarau Island, Fiji with 296 rooms, each with a private balcony. Other facilities include Beach Club, wedding chapel, swimming pools, three restaurants, four bars, an international health spa, large ballroom and several meeting rooms. The objective of the review was to provide a document for discussion between the Hotel Owner and Operator regarding areas for future performance improvement over a one to three year period.

Horwath HTL Solution: We identified opportunities for diversification of markets, improved performance potential from improved rooms departmental profit, improved F&B revenue, improved F&B departmental cost control. We also assisted the parties in relation to the business case for a major capital expenditure project.

Project Status: Capital expenditure project completed, and financial performance improvement achieved.
